AmbaSat Newsletter – Q1 2024

Welcome to the AmbaSat Newsletter – Q1 2024

Greetings AmbaSat Community,

We’ve kicked off the year with a flurry of activity, marked by successful exhibitions and interviews. Significant advancements have been made in both the hardware and software components of the AmbaSat CubeSat, paralleled by steady progress towards securing our orbital license. Dive into the details below to discover more about our recent achievements and what lies ahead at AmbaSat.

New Hardware

Starting with our hardware advancements, we’ve successfully integrated the initial version of our Flight Computer into the main CubeSat assembly. This setup now includes fully operational Flight Trays and is equipped with onboard AmbaSats, ensuring robust functionality and enhanced performance in space operations.

Exhibiting in Singapore at GSTC

Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC), Singapore

This February, we had the pleasure of participating in GSTC in Singapore, where we engaged with both new and existing customers. It was a productive event for us, reinforcing AmbaSat’s role in leading the transformation of CubeSat technology with our Modular Payload System. This system is integral to our strategy, supported by funding from the European Space Agency (ESA) Business Incubation Centre and SparkFund.

Upcoming Events and Engagements
Looking ahead, AmbaSat will be exhibiting later this year:
In early June, we’ll be at the North East Space Conference:
Northeast Space Conference
Later in June, we’ll be exhibiting at Ignite Space in Leeds:
Ignite Space
We’ll also be attending MACC24 at Machrihanish and hope to be launching some High-Altitude Balloons (HAB) and some rockets! Watch this space for more details.

AmbaSat Network

We are pleased to announce the launch of the AmbaSat Groundstation, this replaces ‘The Things Network’ (TTN) Gateways. However, for those still using TTN the two systems run side by side. The new AmbaSat gateway allows us enhanced control over our network and is fully compatible with the AmbaSat System.
