Open Positions
Senior Embedded Systems Engineer
The Role:
We are looking for a hands-on technical lead to drive the firmware architecture of our next-generation 3U platform. You will take ownership of the full embedded stack, from the central OBC (On-Board Computer) to the AmbaSat Flight Tray development and distributed sensor nodes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimise low-power firmware (C/C++) for flight hardware.
Manage the I2C/SPI FlightTray and sensor interfaces and UHF/LoRaWAN communication protocols.
Lead the transition from prototyping to flight-qualified code, implementing rigorous error handling and redundancy for orbital environments.
Mission Manager (AIT & Logistics)
The Role:
AmbaSat is scaling to quarterly launches. We need an operational lead to manage the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) campaign for every mission. You will be the bridge between our customers, our engineering team, and our launch providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the physical integration of up to 160 payload slots per mission.
Oversee fit-checks, vibration testing, and thermal vacuum campaigns with our test partners.
Manage the documentation compliance for UK CAA and launch vehicle interface requirements.
Technical Sales & Partnerships Lead
The Role:
We are democratising access to space, but first, the market needs to know we exist. We are seeking a commercially minded engineer or technically literate sales lead to build our pipeline of B2B and academic customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive B2B sales for payload slots, targeting sensor manufacturers and research institutes.
Translate customer technical requirements into mission proposals and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
Manage relationships with key institutional partners (ESA, UK Space Agency) and university consortiums.
Student & Graduate Internships
We run an active internship programme for engineering students from our partner universities. Gain flight-heritage experience before you graduate.
