Hi all,

A very productive week with lots happening on many fronts. Here are the highlights of what happened, including some pictures, plus details of the latest version of the AmbaSat-1 satellite:

UK Space Conference 2019 – Wow, what an amazing event! This was held at the International Conference Centre in Newport, Wales and we’ve included some pictures below of the event. It was great to meet a variety of companies including OneWeb and Skyrora. The Senior Tech VP of OneWeb was blown away with our AmbaSat-1 satellite and already took several pictures of the satellite to show his team. It was also great to finally meet Owain Hughes from Skyrora Limited. We were privileged to hold the 3-d printed third stage of their rocket engine (pictures below). AmbaSat recently signed a Letter of Interest (LoI) with Skyrora so expect future AmbaSat launches using Skyrora technology from here in the UK.

Dr. Atma Prakash, Senior Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering at Teesside University here in the UK. Martin met with Dr. Prakash on Monday. It was a great meeting. The Aerospace Engineering department at the University are both ambitious and experienced and we are hoping to expand our satellite development and testing capabilities and with Teesside University.

The final production version (v2) of the AmbaSat-1 satellite board, including the solarboard is ongoing. The final designs for the AmbaSat-1 satellite board and solarboard are getting very close and there are some screenshots of both below.

Finally, for this week and most importantly, all Kickstarter backers should have received their feedback forums with reference to sensor selection. If you have not replied yet, please do so within the next week. Many of you have questions and we will be responding to these over the coming week, so please be patient. Indiegogo backers will receive their questionnaire this coming week.

Thank you, everyone. Exciting times!

The AmbaSat team.
