AmbaSat & Tao Tech UK partner on Communication Platform

AmbaSat and Tao Tech UK are collaborating to create a rapidly deployed communication and surveillance platform for disaster response and humanitarian relief purposes. Initial testing was undertaken recently at Tao’s test location within the OREC facility at Blyth, with plans to introduce a non-terrestrial 5G spinoff for offshore applications. Tao Tech produces and operates lighter-than-air, variable-altitude platforms—including High Altitude Platforms (HAPs)—while AmbaSat provides advanced satellite and IoT-based connectivity solutions that enable real-time data collection, secure communication links, and environmental monitoring. Together, their combined technologies will deliver a versatile and resilient platform capable of supporting critical operations in challenging, remote, or disaster-affected regions.
