I wanted to use the BME680. But it has only a working range from -40 to 85 DegC.
Since we have to expect a temperaturerange from –170 DegC to 123 DegC (FAQ) it should not suitable for our needs.
Any better idea for a sensor?
Difficult one to find a solution. The TMP101 from TI measures down to -55C and supports I2C but the supported voltage range is greater than AmbaSat-1 can supply.
Did see something recently which measure lower but can't find the link at the moment
I have some old BME280 which should have the same Temperaturesensor as the BME680.
I think I will try some lager and smaller temps with a airsolderingtool and a bath in liquid butane or something.
Maybe they will work good enough. But that can take 2 weeks until I have some time for it.
That's good if you have some for testing. Adafruit also do a BME680 board: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3660
